Founded in 2026 by Dr. Aaron Wolf, Texas Specialty Eye Center is your premier destination for advanced eye care in Austin, Texas. With a dedicated focus on specialty contact lenses, myopia management, keratoconus and ocular surface disease management, we aim to enhance the vision and quality of life of our community.

Texas Specialty Eye Center is a tertiary care clinic focused exclusively on advanced and complex vision needs. Unlike traditional eye care practices, we do not provide routine wellness or comprehensive eye exams. For primary eye care and routine exams, we proudly refer patients to our trusted partner, Austin Optometry Group, or your referring eyecare practitioner.

Founder, Texas Specialty Eye Center

Dr. Aaron T. Wolf is a pioneer in the "second wave" of specialty lens technology. A native Texan and Baylor University alumnus, Dr. Wolf earned his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston in 2009. As the owner of Austin Optometry Group and founder of the Texas Specialty Eye Center (est. 2024), he has dedicated his career to solving the most complex visual challenges through a blend of clinical artistry and advanced CAD-driven design.

Dr. Wolf is highly trained and experienced in all ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.

​​Dr. Wolf’s special interest and practice emphasis is in dry eye syndrome, ocular surface diseases, and specialty contact lenses for difficult-to-fit eyes, including scleral lenses, corneal gas permeable lenses, custom soft lenses, cosmetic/prosthetic lenses, and orthokeratology (a.k.a. Ortho-K).​
